High-performance electric motorcycle
Electric vehicle pioneer the Venturi Group purchases the iconic French motorcycle brand Voxan and shifts its focus to electric power.
The Voxan Wattman is unveiled. It is a symbol of the brand’s rebirth and its new technical and stylistic direction.
The high-performance Wattman, which is destined to break world speed records, is unveiled in June. Five months later, with Max Biaggi at the controls, it claims 11 world speed records and becomes the fastest electric motorbike in the world, hitting a top instantaneous speed of 408 km/h.
A new version of the Wattman takes over the strip at the Kennedy Space Center (Florida, USA) in mid-November. It is now competing in the under 300 kilos category. Once again ridden by Max Biaggi, the Wattman breaks 21 world speed records. Its GPS speedometer peaks at an instantaneous speed of 292 mph.
The Venturi Group has been a demonstrator of technology since 2000. President Gildo Pastor is committed to paving the way for the electric mobility solutions of the future. As part of the Voxan Wattman venture, engine builder Mercedes-EQ and tyre partner Michelin have free and unlimited access to the programme, a reflection of Gildo Pastor’s preferred policy of engagement.
The Venturi Group’s priority is to remain aligned with the sustainable development policy led by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. Flying the Monaco flag as high as possible all over the world by breaking speed records is a source of pride for President Gildo Pastor, a Monegasque national whose attachment to his country has forged his professional career. Voxan is innovating, supporting the electric vehicle industry, pushing boundaries and preparing the world of the future.
